Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a scheme created by the Indian government in 2015, whose main objective is to provide homes for poor people living in villages and cities. The Government of India has selected 305 villages and cities of 9 states, where the house will be built for people to live.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a plan to be run by the Central Government of India, which was started in the year 25 June 2015. As per this plan, the government of India will build 20 lakh well-built houses in place of slum-house homes by 2022.
Three following steps of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Phase 1. Building a house in 100 cities in selected states and union territories in April 2015 and March 2017, which has been completed.
Step 2. Building a house in 200 additional cities between April 2017 and March 2019, whose work is in progress.
Step 3. Build houses in all the cities remaining between April 2019 and March 2022.
For the construction of this scheme, the expenditure of Rs. 4,95,838 crore was given by the Government of India, out of which 51,414.5 rupees have already been released.
Who can avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana?
The following people and families who can benefit from this scheme are those. …
Those who come in economically weaker sections, whose income is 3 lakh rupees or less per annum. They can apply for their home.
People with low-income groups and families whose income per year are Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh, they can also avail the scheme.
Apart from this, people of the middle-income group and passive income group II who earn 6 lakh to 12 profits in a year can also buy the house of this scheme.
In addition to those related to EWS and LIG categories, people belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and OBCs (OBC) can also take advantage of this scheme.
One more thing, other than these people who do not have their own home, they can also apply to the government to buy their own house for this plan.
Benefits from Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
- Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, you are given some amount and subsidy. The amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the person applied for the house. But for that, the person has to link his bank account with Aadhaar card. Only then can this scheme be availed.
- According to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, there was a proposal to make the house about 20 square meters, which was later increased to 25 square meters.
- The amount of expenditure under this scheme will be given by the Central Government and the State Government.
- Under this Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana of the Government of India, a person can take a loan of up to Rs 70,000, which does not require any kind of payment. In urban areas, people can borrow more than 70 thousand, which will be very low interest.
How to apply for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana?
You can apply online and offline in both ways to avail this Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. To apply online, you need to go to the website and fill out the form, for which you have the Aadhar Card. Apart from this, the Common Service Center (CSC) will provide an offline form. From there, you can fill-up the form and you can apply the application which is worth 25 rupees + GST.
